Born on Dromund Kaas, Noh-Nami's family was wealthy and well connected, being well favored by the Emperor's Wrath, Lord Scourge. Accepted to the Sith Academy on Korriban, she survived her training by being a strong adversary to those other students who chose to take place in the in-fighting and back stabbing.

Completing her trials as an initiate, Noh-Nami was taken as one of several apprentices of the Dark Council member, Darth Mortis, and was taught personally by him until his death on Dromund Kaas during the Republic bombardment and occupation in 3620
